Clinical Center Nis to get a heliport – Public invitation for preparation of project documentation and construction

Clinical Center of Nis would be the only medical center in Serbia, apart from Military Medical Academy which will have a heliport intended for urgent medical transport. A public invitation has been opened for the preparation of the project documentation and the construction of the heliport.

The heliport will be located on the south side of the Clinical Center Nis on one part of the existing parking lot. The project documentation state the conceptual design should make sure all emergency medical vehicles have quick access to the heliport.

The estimated value for the public procurement is at RSD 15,5 million. The deadline for bidders to submit their offers expires on September 28.

As specified, during the design and construction of the heliport the size of the planned helicopter should be kept in mind. The aircraft authorized for its flight characteristics ,capacity and engine power is Mi – 17 , medium twin-turbine transport helicopter.

The project and construction of the heliport within the are of Clinical Center Nis should envision the access to heliport, necessary installations and containers for accompanying gear in accordance with general flight rules and connection with air traffic network regulated by SMATSA.

Let us remind that the construction of the heliport at Clinical Center Nis was announced back in December at the opening of the new medical center. On that occasion it was stated that this would be the most modern heliport in Serbia and it would enable efficient medical handling of those injured in traffic accidents. The only functioning heliport is the one in the Military-Medical Academy.
