Arriva Litas, a member of Deutsche Bahn, a global leader in the field of transport and logistics, has expanded its rolling stock in Belgrade, introducing 25 new buses with the latest generation EURO VI engines to the public transport in the city. The new vehicles were presented at a ceremony held at Arriva Litas' business unit in Belgrade, in the presence of numerous guests.

The buses featuring modern equipment are characterized by diesel engines which enable the reduction of the emission of nitrogen oxides by up to 67% compared to the EURO V engine, at the same time contributing to fuel consumption control. This way, in addition to increasing passenger safety and comfort, the new buses will make Belgrade public transport more sustainable and economic.

The capacity of a single vehicle is 26 seats and 84 standing spots, and each will have a wheelchair ramp. In addition to an attractive exterior and interior, the buses are equipped with modern air conditioning systems and cameras which increase passenger safety, whereas the driver can monitor each entry and exit through the control panel.

– As a company dedicated to enhancing the quality of passenger transport, we are constantly working on meeting the needs of all clients, focusing on safety, taking care of the environment and implementing new technologies. After commissioning the first EURO VI vehicle produced in Serbia, we continue to improve the quality of transport with 25 new vehicles with the latest generation engine. In line with the global Arriva strategy of traveling to Destination Green, which aims to save resources in 4 segments – water, fuel, waste and energy, by renewing the rolling stock in Serbia, we are also contributing to environmental preservation and enhancing the quality of life for our citizens – Dejan Bogunovic, CEO of Arriva Litas, said and added that Arriva's rolling stock had 20% vehicles with EURO VI engines.

The new buses are of the Temsa Avenue LF (low floor) 8, brand of the leading Turkish producer, which has been present in Serbia since 2006, represented by Masinopromet, and which offered the best conditions at the tender.
