The producers of the James Bond movie franchise have announced that the director of the next movie about the British secret agent will be Cary Joji Fukunaga.

It has been announced that the filming of the 25th Bond movie will begin on March 4, 2019, and that it will start its theater run on February 14, 2020.

Fukunaga succeeds Danny Boyle, whose leaving forced the moving of the dates. As reported, Boyle left the project over creative differences.

The American director has so far worked on True Detective and the war movie Beasts of No Nation, starring Idris Elba, who was frequently mentioned as a potential successor to Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond.

The producers said that Fukunaga’s “versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure”.
