Development Agency of Vojvodina secures over 1,000 jobs so far

The president of the Provincial Government of Vojvodina, Igor Mirovic, visited the Development Agency of Vojvodina on Thursday, October 4, 2018, and assessed that, since its foundation a year and a half before, it had achieved considerable results, especially in concrete incentives for the economy, having secured over 1,000 new jobs in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

– The Development Agency of Vojvodina is an efficient leverage of the economic development of the province with concrete results measured by the number of realized contracts and new jobs – Mirovic stated and added that considerable results had also been realized in the segment of providing support to the carrying out of the policy of rural development.

As he said, the Provincial Government has invested over EUR 6 million for incentives to the Development Agency of Vojvodina, for new jobs and for the procurement of the most modern technological equipment in 16 companies.

– I am satisfied with the results and will provide more funding for all the programs realized by the Development Agency of Vojvodina, the interest in which is constantly growing – Mirovic said.

Mirovic also attended the signing of the agreement on the business-technical cooperation between the Development Agency of Vojvodina and four faculties of the University of Novi Sad, the faculties of agriculture, economics, technology and technical sciences, which defines joint activities in the realization of developmental projects and connecting economic and science sectors.

The director of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Nikola Zezelj, stated that the agency had realized significant results by creating new jobs, connecting large companies with small enterprises, and presenting the commercial potentials of Vojvodina at international fairs in Europe.

– We have also established sectors for promotion and funds for support to local economy, so we expect even better results in the upcoming period – Zezelj pointed out.
