Our rifles for American hunters - "Zastava" manufactured first high-class carbine

"Zastava Arms" has manufactured the first high-class carbine that was presented at the Arms Exhibition in Nurnberg (Germany) under label LK M 808. This weapon, intended for hunters, has been developed by Kragujevac’s constructors and it represents “the group of best solutions” in arms industry.

According to the words of Aleksandar Mladenović, the Development Manager in "Zastava Arms", this carbine has five important innovations and the assembly-line production is already in the pipeline. The preparations have commenced, and mass production should start in June 2009 because of the contractual obligations to American buyers.

- The new carbine we have made is based on "mauser" system that guarantees endurance and reliability. We have introduced some changes in the breech to enable fast cocking. The second innovation is brand new firing mechanism with double effect, that is, with two firing forces (1.3 and 0.4 kg). That means that even a soft touch on the trigger is enough for the bullet to be fired, so that the precision is much higher – says Mladenović.

Mirko Ćirković, one of the main designers of the new carbine, which is going to become the pride of Serbian industry of hunting arms, claims that “Winchester” brake, which is very popular in the USA and has exceptional characteristics with three levels, is mounted on it.
