After the meeting with the Prime minister Brnabic Vucic said that the money would be used to fund all types of healthcare facilities.
General hospitals will receive around EUR 235 million, clinical centers around EUR 430 million, additional EUR 54 million will be allotted to the new building of University Children's Clinic, Tirsova 2 whereas another EUR 100 million will be invested into 11 clinics and around EUR 200 million in community health centers.
Vucic said that the investments would be made in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and he announced healthcare reforms as well, since that was the sector that uses the most capital.
He added that there was a discussion on what else could be done for Serbian healthcare, especially for nurses.
– I will personally endorse the largest pay raise for nurses. They do the hardest job, Vucic pointed out adding that the country had a personnel deficit in that field.
