First Serbian Franchising Association founded

Serbian Association for Development of Franchising (SURF), that is, the association for allotment of rights on use of trademark of business system, was founded yesterday (April 6, 2009) in the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

As it was explained at the founding assembly of that association, the aims that should be achieved by the members are: organization of the first franchising trade fair, certification of franchising concepts, cooperation with banks and cooperation with the US Commercial Service.

- There are already good business concepts in Serbia, which enables us, following the founding of the Association, to accelerate the process for launching of the initiative for admission to European Franchising Federation – said Dušan Sikimić, the representative of "Diners club".

The members of SUFR are, among the rest, the Commercial Department of the US Embassy, Diners Club International, Delta holding, ComTrade retail and E-dućan.
