This Friday, October 26, 2018, the National Assembly of Serbia adopted the Law on Construction Products, which regulates this field and harmonizes it with the standards and the best practice in the EU for the first time.

The law will better regulate the market of construction products, raise the level of quality of the materials used in the construction of roads, bridges, buildings and other facilities and provide more affordable prices for investors through the competition of manufacturers.

In addition to raising the standards in construction in Serbia, the new law will also make domestic producers more competitive in the European market, as standards equal to those in EU member states will be implemented in Serbia.

The competent ministry says that the law will further incite the development of construction and contribute to making facilities safer and more environmentally friendly.
