Santa Claus gets flu vaccine – Finnish agency opens elf contest

As the upcoming holidays are drawing closer and closer, Santa Claus has already started the preparations in Lapland. He has been vaccinated against the flu and is beginning to hire elves.

A Finnish agency has opened a contest for elves which will help tourists who want to visit Santa Claus in his North Pole home, where temperature can fall 40 degrees below zero. The elves will be in charge of preparing hot drinks for tourists and kindling the fire.

Around 390,000 foreign tourists visited Santa Claus last year.

Sweden and Greenland also claim to be the home of the real Santa Claus.
