Government of Serbia reaches decisions on bypass route around Belgrade, Zemun railway station and police affairs cooperation

On Friday, November 2, the Government of Serbia adopted the Draft Law on the Confirmation of the Agreement on State Concession Loan for the Project of the Construction of the Bypass Route around Belgrade on E70/E75, Section: the Sava Bridge near Ostruznica – Bubanj Potok between the Government of Serbia as the borrower and China’s Export Import Bank as the lender.

The completion of the construction of the bypass route around Belgrade is the government’s priority and one of the most important infrastructural projects, the realization of which will redirect the traffic from the overloaded city system to the new bypass route, the government says on its website.

The government also adopted the Draft Law on the Confirmation of the Guarantee Agreement (The Project of the Technical-Passenger station Zemun – Phase 2) between the Republic of Serbia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).


EUR 22 million has been approved for the financing of the second phase, of which EUR 17 million will be put in the completion of the TPS Zemun, whereas EUR 5 million will be invested in the procurement of the control and information system for the rail transport of passengers.

The Draft Law on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Signees of the Convention on Police Cooperation in Southeast Europe in Automatic Exchange of DNA Data, Dactyloscopic Data and Registered Vehicle Data was also adopted at the session.
