– We emphasize that Rospotrebnadzor is legally obligated to respond to the request within 30 work days from the date it was sent – Milutinovic points out and reminds that three court-administrative procedures were initiated in Moscow regarding the control of the wine produced by Plantaze.
The decision on a temporary ban on the import of the company's products to the territory of the Russian Federation was adopted on April 26, 2017, and Plantaze only received it in late January 2019, so their lawyers were only able to file a complaint after that date.
In late February 2017, Plantaze was informed by Rospotrebnadzor that some of their wines that had been sampled based on an anonymous complaint had excessive levels of the metalaxyl pesticide and plastic particles, which caused the wine to be withdrawn from the Russian market.
The Russian market is one of the most important exporting markets for the Podgorica-based company.
