– After five years of successful operations, in addition to the annual Congress, the Association included this new form of affirmation of the profession and the status of tax advisors in Serbia in its program – the Association announced.
The First Tax Days dealt with current topics such as the accounting regulations, currently being amended, transfer prices in intercompany transactions, implementation of the law on the prevention of money laundering, tax aspects of author's prerogatives of non-residents in Serbia, the implementation of the new VAT Rulebook, tax violations, as well as the latest amendments to the Company Law, with a special focus on the founding and the closing of companies.
At the two-day event, it was concluded that the digitalization is necessary when it comes to the operations of taxpayers and that the process of digitalization in all state organs needs to be accelerated. They agreed that it is necessary to implement automated sharing of data between all state organs and that amendments to the company law need to consider the responsibility of company members in case of liquidation. Also, they concluded that the Ministry of Finance and the Administration for the Prevention of Money Laundering need to be asked to compare the local law with that in the EU when it comes to the position of tax advisors, accountants and auditors.
