Requests submitted for employment of 2,680 trainees
The Ministry of Economy and Regional Development announced that about 1,500
companies had submitted requests for employment of 2,680 trainees during the
first two weeks of the programme for employment of 10,000 young trainees
"Prva šansa".
Of total of 2,680 young trainees, 1,428 or 53% finished secondary school, 358 or
14% graduated from advanced schools, while 894 or 33% have faculty degrees.
The requests for employment of young trainees were submitted by the companies
from various business spheres, such as finance and accounting, civil
engineering, tourism and catering, trade, food industry, legal services,
transportation, veterinarian medicine, IT services, health care and
pharmaceutics, vocational and personal services, chemistry, non-metals and
graphics, consulting services.
This programme will make it possible for 10,000 young trainees to find their
first jobs in private sector, on definite period of up to one year, and to pass
the training exam with the ensured salary of 16,000 to 20,000 RSD.
The Ministry of Economy pays the net salary and all benefits during the training period, while the employer is to pay only the tax on income.
The employer is obliged to keep, at least, the same number of employees during the period of use of that subvention as it had in the first quarter of year 2009.
