"Vindija" to open factory of poultry meat and meat products in Plandište – investment worth 12m EUR
- Food industry "Vindija" from Varaždin will open its first factory for production and packing of poultry meat in Serbia tomorrow (May 8, 2009) in Plandište. Namely, "Vindija" bought slaughterhouse "Planima Farms" in January 2009 and invested 12m EUR in its modernization, so that the new factory satisfies the most demanding EU standards – people from "Vindija" told eKapija.
The factory will be opened in the presence of high representatives of “Vindija”, Saša Dragin, the Minister of Agriculture in the Government of Republic of Serbia, and Božidar Pankretić, the Minister of Agriculture, Fishing and Rural Development of Croatia.
This is the extension of the company’s strategic investments in Serbia. "Vindija" already owns dairy and slaughterhouse of former Collective Farm in Lajkovac (which was bought in 2005 while in bankruptcy), as well as fodder factory "Unip" in Valjevo.
