Annual tax of around RSD 3,000 per bed for daily apartment lease?

Under the Law on Amendments to the Law on Personal Income Tax, which is to come into effect on July 1, 2019, lessors will pay lump-sum taxes on the facilities they own, which should be around RSD 3,000 per bed, as per the current information, Dnevnik writes.

Considering that the monthly income in this business is measured in hundreds of euros, and then only for two-bedroom apartments, the taxes shouldn`t prove to be too high for the owners, the newspaper writes and adds that, before the law comes into effect, rulebooks which should regulate this field in more detail should be adopted.

The article also says that private accommodation capacities will be categorized and that guests will therefore have a clearer idea of what they can expect from the apartments they plan to rent for a few days.
