As he told our portal, the section from Pozega to Boljare is the most difficult one in terms of geological composition and topography. Based on the General Project prepared by CIP, the section is supposed to feature 51 tunnels, around 100 bridges and around 20 overpasses and underpasses. The value of the investment is around EUR 2 billion.
The Montenegrin section to Boljare should go through Berane, Andrijevica, Matesevo, Podgorica and Bar.
According to Ignjatovic, the planning of the section from Pozega through Ivanjica to Boljare can begin only once numerous terrain explorations are done (geodetic surveys, geological boring, laboratory-geomechanical tests etc.).
– In my opinion, it will only happen in 2020, and the construction can only begin in 2021 – Ignjatovic told eKapija.
– In 2005, there were around 9,000 vehicles a day on the Pozega-Arilje section. On the Arilje-Ivanjica section, there were around 6,000, and on the Ivanjica Sjenica section, there were 3,500. We expect there to be 21,000 vehicles a day on the Pozega-Ivanjica section in 2030 – Ignjatovic said.
Let us remind that the construction of the Preljina Pozega highway section, 31 kilometers long, is expected. CIP carried out the necessary geotechnical surveys to determine the route and the placement of facilities such as tunnels and bridges in 2018.
The construction of the tunnels on the Preljina-Pozega section will most likely begin in March 2019.
