"Vapiano" restaurant to be opened in Belgrade on May 22

Mediterranean cuisine restaurant "Vapiano", in which 2.35m EUR have been invested, will be opened on Friday, May 22, in Belgrade's shopping centre "Ušće".

The co-owner of "Vapiano" franchise, Branimir Lalić, said yesterday (May 19, 2009) that 70 people who completed the training by "Vapiano" standards would be working in the restaurant.

- We plan to open restaurants in Novi Sad, Niš, and one more in Belgrade, and total of 10 facilities worth 23m EUR should be opened on the territory of former Yugoslavia prior to year 2012 - Lalić pointed out.

According to his words, one of the ingredients of the dishes prepared in the restaurant will be Italian flour zero.

- There are various types of pasta, pizzas made of selected ingredients and salads on the menu of the restaurant - Lalić pointed out.

All those interested can supervise the food preparation process - said he and added that the guests can choose sauces and spice herbs, while the preparation of a dish lasts for up to five minutes.

The chain of "Vapiano" restaurants, which was created in German city of Hamburg in 2002, comprises 55 facilities in Europe, America and Near East.
