Hotel complex "Banja Koviljača" to be privatized soon
Hotel-tourist company "Banja Koviljača", which now operates as a public company, should be transformed into a state-owned company within the next three months, after which it is expected to be privatized on the tender.
- The nationalization procedure is in its final phase. People in the company still need to make the decision that should be approved by the Government of Serbia - the CEO of the company, Mladen Milutinović, said to the local media.
He added that such solution was the result of congruence of the wishes of employees and the decisions of authorized people, and he pointed out that the change in status would create the opportunities for investments and quality tender privatization of HTP "Banja Koviljača".
The privatization process was initiated in May 2002, but the auction has not been organized yet because of the problem of distinction between public and state-owned property.
The company, which currently has about 60 workers, owns hotel "Podrinje", holiday hostel "Gučevo", spa hall "Kur-salon", dairy restaurant "Švajcarija", restaurant "Tri česme", as well as villas "Bosna", "Koviljača" and "Beograd", and an auto-camp on the Drina.
