Molecular Food Analysis Laboratory opens at Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad

The laboratory, for whose equipping the Provincial Government provided RSD 16 million, was opened by the president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic.
He pointed out that the Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad was one of the leading institutions in this field in the country and the region and added that it was an important place where science and economy meet.
– Connecting science and economy is a need of the modern world and the services and products that are formed that way are valuable in many ways. The University of Novi Sad is a leader in this field, and in order to keep it that way, the Provincial Government will continue providing considerable support to all faculties and institutes – Mirovic added.
According to him, the Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad was provided with funds by the Provincial Government for the procurement of the most modern laboratory and equipment, which will be used for precision food analysis determining food and product quality and which is needed by the economy.
The director of the Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad, Olivera Djuragic, pointed out that this is a great day for the institute, as the opening of the laboratory will contribute to expanding the range of the analyses that can be done and a better positioning in the market.
