March tour of Zvezdara Theater – Performances in Novi Sad, Lazarevac, Jagodina, Bijeljina, Zurich and Oslo

This month, plays from the repertoire of Zvezdara Theater will be performed on numerous local and foreign stages.

The Best People, featuring Dragan Petrovic Pele, Danica Maksimovic, Branimir Brstina, Milica Mihajlovic and Radoslav Milenkovic, is traveling to Novi Sad. The performance is scheduled for March 5 at the Youth Theater. The writer and director is Dusan Kovacevic.

One of Zvezdara Theater’s leading comedies, Hypnosis of a Love, is guesting in Zurich, Switzerland, with two dates, March 8 and 9, scheduled due to great demand. Once again, the piece is directed by Dusan Kovacevic, also the author of the play. The play will also be performed in Novi Sad on March 17.

A performance of A Fairytale about a Theater is scheduled for March 20 at the Cultural Center of Lazarevac. Written by Vladimir Djurdjevic and directed by Marko Mirsaca, the play features Tihomir Stanic, Branislav Zeremski, Miodrag Krstovic, Vesna Stankovic, Petar Strugar / Stefan Radonjic, Iskra Brajovic and Snezana Savic.

Towards the end of the month, Zvezdara Theater’s plays will be featured at important theater festivals. Dress Rehearsal for a Suicide, written and directed by Dusan Kovacevic, will open the 18th Days of Comedy in Bijeljina on March 25. The cast consists of Branislav Lecic, Branimir Brstina, Igor Djordjevic and Dubravka Kovjanic.

The program of the 48th Days of Comedy in Jagodina, one of Serbia’s most important theater festivals, includes Zvezdara Theater’s Love in Savamala, scheduled for March 26.

Correspondence will be featured at the 4th Kovin Theater Meeting on March 27. This classic play by Borislav Pekic, adapted by Borislav Mihajlovic Mihiz, features Branislav Lecic, Slavko Stimac, Anica Dobra, Joakim Tasic, Jelena Stupljanin and Branko Vidakovic. The play, directed by Gorcin Stojanovic, premiered at Zvezdara Theater on February, 2018. In slightly over a year, it has won as many as 16 awards at prestigious theater festivals.

Finally, Sunset Limited, featuring Sergej Trifunovic and Voja Brajovic, will be performed in Gothenburg on March 29 and in Oslo on March 30.
