5 million USD worth of export arrangement of Zastava-Arms in 2006, Remington – strategic partner of the factory

Next year, “Zastava Arms” plans to, in cooperation with its future strategic partner from USA, export hunting, sport and personal defense arms, worth about five million dollars, onto the US market. Part of the contingent of products, from “Zastava’s” arms factory, which will be exported into the USA in 2006, include a number of military rifles for the reserves of the SCG Army, which will first be modernized and adapted into hunting arms in “Zastava”.

The management of “Zastava Arms” decided to establish strategic partnership with the USA company “Remington”. “Zastava’s” arms factory will, according to unofficial information, during this week, request from the management of “Remington” to schedule a date for the signing of the contract on strategic partnership of the two companies, which should, because of the valid commercial contract with the USA firm for the sale of arms, go into effect on January first of next year.

“Zastava Arms” evaluates that the decision on partnership with “Remington” is of strategic importance, since the agreement is joint development and production of arms as well as the united appearance on the US market, with the trade mark “Remington by Zastava”.
