Agreement of German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and University of Belgrade – Through German business model to work experience

The president of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia), Ronald Seeliger, and the rector of the University of Belgrade, Ivanka Popovic, have signed an agreement on cooperation to the end of professional development of students, facilitating their connecting with the labor market and presenting the operation of the chamber’s member-companies.

The initiative “Through the German business model to work experience” of AHK Serbia and the University of Belgrade is meant for final-year undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Belgrade who want to acquire their first work experiences and thereby increase their chances in the labor market.

At the regular meeting of the AHK HR work group, which was attended by around 50 HR managers at the biggest German companies, Seeliger talked about the possibilities of enhancing internship programs at the German companies operating in Serbia.

He said that AHK Serbia and the University of Belgrade would provide an online platform in 2019, where members of AHK Serbia, but also other companies with German capital, would regularly post internship vacancies.

Popovic pointed out that the signing of the agreement was very important for the university and that the university would inform students of the portal through its communication channels.
