Building company Slovan from Selenča with new investment - natural, cold-squeezed juices
"Slovan" from Selenča, building vocational collective, established 25 years ago, has grown into company that employs 260 people and is wanted by all investors.
Đuro Bocka, majority stockholder, expanded the trade and catering activities along with improvement of technology in building activity. However, the real market challenge represents production that started in 2003, when the units for processing of fruit and vegetables were put into operation. At first, it was classical processing (salads, compotes, marmalades), followed by putting of line for production of natural juices into operation at the beginning of 2005. At the moment, they process beet and apple, but it is planned that cherry, raspberry and maybe carrot are included in the offer until the end of 2005.
The production is brought in accord with international standards, both on production (ISO-9000) and ecological plan (ISO-14000).
Cold squeezing procedure is applied, during which all vitamins and minerals are preserved. Juice obtained int that way are 100% natural because neither water, nor sugar is added. Fruit is pressed and the juice is filtered and pasteurized. The process is supervised all the time by the experts from Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad. There is possibility to increase capacity of production unit from 5,000 to 8,000 tons of juice. www.slovan.co.yu
