Chinese Shandong Linglong receives ownership rights over land in Zrenjanin – Agreement signed with Property Directorate of Serbia

The owner of the Chinese company Shandong Linglong, Wang Feng, and the director of the Property Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, Jovan Vorkapic, today signed the agreement on the compensation-free alienation of building land at the Industrial Zone in Zrenjanin. The Chinese investor thereby gets 96 hectares of building land for the purpose of the construction of a factory.

Feng said that the company had concrete plans and that they would first prepare a detailed plan for the realization of the project and then start employing workers, who will be sent for training to China, whereas a marketing team will test the local market, as well as the market of Africa.

He added that, on Friday, at the conference in Belgrade, which will be attended by around 600 people, 500 of which are their clients and associates, marketing would be discussed.

Vorkapic also emphasized the importance of the agreement, which, as he said, is the realization of the agreement signed in China between Wang Feng and Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali.

The signing of the agreement was also attended by the mayor of Zrenjanin, Cedomir Janjic, who announced that the realization of the biggest greenfield investment in Serbia would begin on Saturday, March 30.

Shandong Linglong will invest close to a billion dollars in the opening of the new tire factory in Zrenjanin, and the project will be completed within seven years. The plan is to employ 1,500 people. Of these, 1,200 jobs will be open to local populace, whereas 300 people will be sent from the parent company in China, for the purposes of equipment installation, test run and training.
