Mercedes to open factory in Moscow Region on April 3

German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier plans to attend the opening of Mercedes’ factory in the Moscow Region on April 3, stated an unnamed PR at the ministry, TASS reports.

The Russian news agency writes that the construction of this factory began in June 2017 and that the investments are projected at EUR 300 million.

It is said that the plan is to produce 25 to 30 thousand vehicles a year, and the factory should employ more than 1,000 people.

As the PR said, Altmaier will attend the next week’s opening, on which occasion bilateral talks at the ministerial level might occur.
