Feasibility study initiative for construction of two cable cars in Sarajevo Canton – Ilidza Municipality hires Swiss company

The citizens of the Canton of Sarajevo have been hearing rumours about the construction of another cable car in Sarajevo for years which would connect the foot of the Igman mountain at Hrasnica with sports and recreation center at Bjelasnica mountain. The dream of riding this cable car hasn't come true yet although many, especially the citizens of Ilidza municipality are impatiently waiting for this project to see the light of day.

At the request of a large number of citizens of this municipality, the representative in Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Mirza Celik has recently put forward the initiative for conducting a feasibility study for the construction of Hrasnica-Hrasnicki Stan-Veliko Polje-Bjelasnica cable car as well as the cable car from the spring of the Bosna river to Golo Brdo village in hopes of finally setting the projects in motion.

Celik thinks that these cable cars along with Trebevic Cable Car would be the next big thing and would complete the tourist offer while being a huge benefit for everybody.
