Solagro presents new model of smart press for can recycling

The Serbian startup Solagro has presented a new model of a smart press for can recycling at ICT Hub in Belgrade.

After a year of developing the Solagro Smart Recycler 2.0 project, financed by the Innovation Fund through the Early Development Program, the device is ready for practical use. The device is technologically the most advanced model of a smart press, with an upgraded recycling mechanism. It offers an improved user experience and an attractive design.

Solagro develops new solutions in the field of recycling packaging waste. The Solagro smart press is a mobile, efficient device which reduces the volume of the waste by 90%. They feature an attractive exterior and are suitable for installation in companies, on squares, beaches, at festivals, concerts and sports and cultural events.

So far, over 150 presses have been installed in eight countries, and the company has cooperated with more than 30 clients, including some of the world's biggest brands, such as Ball Packaging, Coca-Cola and Molson Coors.

In addition to working on the Solagro Smart Recycler 2.0 project, the team has had a very successful year. The Solagro smart press has been presented at prestigious events in London, Frankfurt, Berlin and Prague. They have established cooperation with GIZ on the Yes We CAN! Project, which entails the establishment of a smart portal for recycling, and they've also agreed a partnership with with Finance in Motion, an impact investment management company, which will help finance Solagro's promotional and educational campaigns about recycling this spring and summer in Belgrade.
