Belgrade Airport: Tax decreased by 4.5 EUR for passenger service for "Jat Airways" charters
Belgrade-based airport "Nikola Tesla" introduced discount yesterday (July 21, 2009) on passenger service for "Jat Airways" charter flights from old Terminal 1.
That tax is lowered by 4.5 EUR and it now amounts to 12 EUR per passenger. The reasons for introduction of discount lie in manual registration of passengers and luggage, simpler work in sorting room, as well as somewhat lower comfort for passengers than at Terminal 2.
People at airport "Nikola Tesla" are of the opinion that the whole procedure is not going to bother passengers because they will pay lower airport tax.
The airport plans to offer the same procedure to all interested airliners starting next year. That will be especially interesting to low-budget air transportation companies.
- Most our citizens are less interested in hearing when the parliaments of 27 countries members of EU will ratify the Agreement on open sky with Serbia, which has already been done by our Parliament - Dr Velimir Radosavljević, the Deputy Director General of the Airport, told "Novosti". - The passengers are mainly concerned with safe, comfortable, cheap and quick flying all around Europe and the world. Low-budget companies are interested in cutting costs wherever possible, and they also find the price of transportation paid by the passenger important.
The passengers from Terminal 1 will be passing through the same security and passport controls, and they will have all catering facilities and free shops at disposal.
