Highway and tunnel through Grdelica to open in around ten days – Route currently being tested

The Predejane tunnel is 1,073-m long, and the technical and operating center, which controls the safety in the tunnel, is located in front of it. Behind the tunnel is a unique interchange, “hovering” above the South Morava.
The section of the south branch of Corridor 10 through the Grdelica Gorge in the most demanding one from the construction aspect with two tunnels, 33 bridges totaling 6 kilometers, overpasses, interchanges, a railway corridor, a main route and the South Morava.
Around 3,500 workers participated in the construction of the Corridor's southern branch.
On the section near Vladicin Han, the construction of the longest tunnel, Manajle, has been completed, and it is currently being tested. All the operating systems of the tunnel, including lighting, signalization, communication and others, are being tested by the Operating Center, which will continue operating once the tunnel opens, controlling the safety of passing through the tunnel.
A hundred kilometers of various cables have been installed in the tunnel. EUR 13 million was invested in equipping the tunnel, which was built using German standards.
