Pecinci is a municipality which attracts more and more investments each year. Considering its developed economy and agriculture, the president of the municipality, Zeljko Trbovic, believes that Pecinci has a great potential for the development of tourism.

– So far, tourism has been neglected, but we have recognized the great potential of Pecinci. Out territory features Obedska Bara on 20,000 hectares, a true jewel of the area. Due to its natural value, it has been protected as a special natural reserve – Zeljko Trbovic says for eKapija.

As he pointed out, there’s an idea to build certain spa complexes, as the area is rich in geothermal waters.

– While searching for oil, warm mineral water springs were discovered in the territory of our municipality. New we have three boreholes with water whose temperature exceeds 63 degrees. We are therefore looking for a suitable investor, who would build a spa complex with hotels, a trim track and all other accompanying features here. If we manage to do so, we will have realized the full potential of everything in Pecinci – economy, agriculture and tourism – Zeljko Trbovic says for eKapija.

Talking about the importance of investments in Pecinci, the president of the municipality also announced the potential opening of a new industrial zone.

– We are currently having intensive negotiations with an English company which is looking to buy 40 hectares of land 10 kilometers away from Simanovci. They plan to build a logistics center and other facilities there, and we would expand the industrial zone for this investment. The proximity of the highway, Belgrade, the airport – these are all advantages of the municipality of Pecinci and reasons why this place is suitable for investments – Zeljko Trbovic told our portal during the opening of the construction site for the KLP logistics complex.
