Construction of high-speed route from Sabac to Loznica to start soon

The construction of the high-speed route between Sabac and Loznica should start soon, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said after a meeting with the head of the Macva District, Vladan Krasavac, and the president of the Majur community, Ivan Neskovic.

This investment will be financed from a EUR 210 million loan. The PE Roads of Serbia is the investor, and the project will be carried out in cooperation with the Azerbaijani company Azvirt. The plan is for the works to begin in August or September with the construction of a bridge on the Sava in Sabac.

– We hope to get a high-speed route in two and a half years – Mihajlovic said and emphasized that it would pass Majur, providing the local residents with direct access to the route.

Majur should also get a renovated school and a new sports gym soon, for which purpose a sum of RSD 131 million has been set aside.
