Fruit in Belgium and Australia – “Sirogojno Company” is planning to export about 150 tones of organic bred raspberries

“Sirogojno Company” is planning to produce about 150 tones of organic bred raspberries by the end of this year.

Last year, 54 raspberry breeders from this part of Serbia, were awarded with a certificate for organic production of raspberries without the use of artificial fertilizers, pesticides and other chemical products. According to “Politika” newspaper’s interview with Mr.Manojlo Jankovic, “Sirogojno Company”s General Manager, new tests are being made and it is almost certain that another 143 producers will get the license for breeding of pure raspberries.

The certificate for production of organic raspberries, which “Sirogojno Company” received last year, being the first company in Western Serbia, has been a major breakthrough for entire food production in our country.

During the last year, specially packed boxes of raspberries made by this company have been on the shelves of the supermarkets in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Great Britain, Belgium, Japan and Australia. Mr.Jankovic is expecting that cooperation with foreign companies will be continued in the next season as well.
