In the mine and floatation site of lead and zinc, “Suva ruda”, which was bought last February by a concern “Farmacom MB” from Sabac, preparations and replacement of the old equipment are being undertaken.
The beginning of production is expected to be on the Fall, and special significance is given to “Kizevak” mine, where enormous reserves of lead and zinc are left unused.
“Suva ruda” mine, which today has 50 workers, used to be active within “Trepca”|, and smelting factory in Zvecane provided large quantities of lead and zinc concentrate.
Raska Municipality is rich in reserves of various mines, such as basalt, zinc, pine, asbestos, dolomite and magnesium, while “Ibarski rudnici” mine have excellent quality coal.
