Jagodina to finance new investments and subsidize interests on credits meant for development of business entities

With the aim of opening new factories and employing the citizens, the City Assembly of Jagodina will allocate grants to business entities in its territory from the budget for investment projects aiming to enhance local economic development.

The money will be allocated based on a public call, which pertains to the allocation of grants for the realization of investment projects in the Industrial Zone Jagodina and the Industrial Zone Vinoraca.

As said in the Assembly's decision on opening the public call, there's a great interest in new investments by existing and potential investors, and Jagodina will become more attractive for new investments.

Members of the city assembly also decided for RSD 5,000,000 to be set aside from the city budget to subsidize interests on loans from commercial banks meant for the development of business entities in the city's territory.

– The funds for subsidizing interests on credits meant for the development of business entities are to be used for subsidizing interests on short-term loans for the procurement of working assets, machines and equipment for the purpose of upgrading production processes, construction, reconstruction and adaptation of business premises – the decision reads.
