“The White Crow” in movie theaters throughout Serbia from August 8

The movie “The White Crow” premiered in Serbia within the 47th FEST, and it will begin its run in movie theaters in Serbia on August 8, the distributor, MegaCom Film, says in a press release.

“The White Crow” is a biographical story about Rudolph Nureyev, portraying the ballet dancer’s early life, up till his mid-tour defection from the Soviet Union.

The director Ralph Fiennes has managed to convey the physical strength and skill of the famous ballet dancer, whose defection to the West startled the whole world at the peak of the Cold War. Nureyev is played by ballet dancer Oleg Ivenko.

The screenplay was written by David Hare, known for his plays and scripts for the movies “The Hours” and “The Reader”.
