Reconstruction of Aviation Academy begins next week – City of Belgrade to invest RSD 24 million

Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic visited the Aviation Academy on Friday, June 21, and confirmed that the City of Belgrade would invest RSD 24 million in the reconstruction of this facility, which will begin next week.

Radojicic said that Belgrade thereby wanted to provide optimal conditions for the academy’s students, Beoinfo reports.

– The Aviation Academy is a true example of dual education. It is also important to increase the number of children choosing dual education – Radojicic said.

He reminded that, in the past days, President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, had announced the arrival of the German company MTU, which produces aircraft engines.

– The heads of MTU obviously believe that there will be an adequate workforce in Serbia, some of which will be educated at this academy, which is why we will also reconstruct the training center within this school in the upcoming period – Radojicic added.

According to him, the country needs to provide adequate workforce, locations and infrastructure in order to attract foreign investments.

Assistant to the minister of education in charge of dual education, Gabrijela Grujic, said that MTU’s decision to open a factory in Serbia was an excellent indicator of the advantages of dual education in Serbia.

– This proves the quality of our education system. People from MTU visited the school several days ago and will return on July 1. It is clear that the Aviation Academy is looking at a busy summer, during which the program will be harmonized so that the school would educate 30 people that the company requires in the first phase.
