Reconstructed highway section from Batrovci to Sid opens for traffic – Full reconstruction by November 15

Five kilometers of the reconstruction highway from the Batrovci border crossing to Sid opened for traffic on Monday, July 1. The completion of these works will help reduce the load at the border crossing when it comes to road and cargo transport during the summer season.

While visiting this section recently, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic announced that the works on the rehabilitation of the first five kilometers would be completed on July 1.

The investor, the PE Roads of Serbia, and the contractor, Integral, promised at the time that the reconstruction of the entire 21.6-km section would be completed by November 15. The works on the bridge over the Bosut begin tomorrow, and the works in front of the Sid toll booth (in the direction of Croatia) and in front of the Kuzmin toll booth are currently in progress, the ministry says in its press release.
