Preparation of Spatial Plan of Serbia for 2021-2035 period begins

The Government of Serbia has reached the decision on the preparation of the Spatial Plan of the Republic of Serbia for the period between 2021 and 2035.

The main goals are: even/balanced and sustainable spatial development of the Republic of Serbia; economic and social cohesion; rational management of natural and cultural heritage; environmental protection; competitiveness, efficiency and growth, that is, prosperity; accessibility, a higher level of identity of regional wholes; integration in the regional environment and the European area; a higher level of efficiency in realizing priority plans.

The deadline for the preparation of a draft of the Spatial Plan is 18 months, and the money is provided by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

The draft will be publicly displayed in the seats of all districts in Serbia.
