Construction of pylons for bridge across Ada Ciganlija to start - all works can be watched on the Internet

Construction of the foundations for the main pillar of the bridge - pylon, will start tonight (September 16, 2009) at the building site on Ada Ciganlija. In this phase of works the scaffolds will be anchored in the Čukarica sleeve, and they will be used for transportation of concrete for the foundations of the pylon that will be 200 meters high and will have the main span of 376 meters.

No sailing in the Čukarica sleeve

The Čukarica sleeve will be completely closed for navigation between 4 PM today and Friday afternoon (September 18, 2009) because of the works on construction of the bridge across Ada Ciganlija.

All boats, yachts and vessels, all users of the marina and sports clubs, as well as all juristic and physical persons, are to respect aforementioned decision in order to avoid endangering navigation safety, works on the water, human lives, and property.
