Third sale of Gosa falls through – Board of Creditors to seek buyer directly

The third attempt to find a new owner for Fabrika sinskih vozila Goša Smederevska Palanka in bankruptcy has failed, since none of the interested buyers submitted an offer in response to the advertisement for sale by direct contracting.

Despite the announcements that several domestic companies were interested in the rail vehicle factory, but also companies from China, Bulgaria and Australia, there are no official offers. After two failed attempts, Gosa's property was offered for sale by direct contracting, but no offers were sent before the deadline of July 19.

- One potential buyer bought the sales documentation, but nobody paid a deposit of 60 million dinars within the deadline, so the Commission made the decision to pronounce the sale unsuccessful - says the bankruptcy supervisor of Gosa, Aca Mitic.

He says that everything is in the hands of the Board of Creditors now.

- Since we have not been able to find a buyer three times, a new ad for this kind of sale would be meaningless. We will try to find a buyer directly, and this will be decided by the Board of Creditors - says Mitic.

The estimated value of Gosa is 515,727,000 dinars. The most important assets are buildings, equipment, stocks, shares, supplies, licenses and patents.
