Property of former giant Leteks up for sale – Initial price RSD 46 million

The bankruptcy supervisor of the Leskovac-based wool manufacturer Leteks has put a part of the company's property up for sale through public bidding. The initial price of the property is RSD 46,810,734.

The offer includes facilities in Leskovac: the 1,742-m2 building for finishing works on the materials, the weaving facility of 3,906 m2 on two floors, the warehouse and the management building.

As eKapija was told, the facilities are in a bad state and require considerable investments, but the premises can be repurposed.

– The facilities have deteriorated considerably and they require large investments. The factory is not likely to be active again, but the location of the buildings is good, only 5 minutes away from the city center, and the buildings are ideal for the office-residential purpose – our portal was told.

Let us remind that, up till the mid-1990s, Leteks employed around 2,000 workers. In 2006, the factory was sold, and the privatization process was terminated after two years.

The company has been in bankruptcy since 2010.

The deadline for the buyout of the sales documentation is September 4, whereas the public bidding will be held on September 11, at 11 am, at the address of the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency.
