Loznica to get UEFA-ready stadium – Hotel and kindergarten to be built as well

The director of the Property Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, Jovan Vorkapic, and the mayor of Loznica, Vidoje Petrovic, signed an agreement on the transfer of public ownership rights from the Republic of Serbia to the City of Loznica, to the end of building a stadium complying with the UEFA 4 standards in Lagator, as well as a new kindergarten on the land belonging to the Kadinjaca elementary school in Loznicko Polje.

Furthermore, an agreement was signed with the company Eternal Glory, which has bought land in Banja Koviljaca for the purpose of the construction of a hotel with the highest standards, which will also contribute to the development of Loznica in the field of tourism.

After the signing of the agreements, the preliminary designs for the stadium and the kindergarten, which have already been prepared, will be reviewed and soon enter public procurement procedures, so that the contractor could be selected and the works could start. The City of Loznica has put sports into a category of special importance. The construction of the stadium will mark the achievement of one of the most important goals, which is to increase the number of young people active in sports. On the other hand, the new kindergarten will solve the problem of waiting lists, it is said on the city's website.

– The new sports stadium will be of great importance for our city, for the affirmation of sports and for the promotion of Loznica, for the young, who will be provided with better conditions for being active in sports and for everyone who will be able to watch the matches of top-quality sports clubs at these courts – Petrovic pointed out.

The head of the Property Directorate praised the efforts of the local self-government in Loznica to prepare all the necessary documentation on time, enabling the Government of Serbia to reach the necessary decisions and bring the project to a close.
