Indian company buys three aircraft from Aero East Europe Jagodina

The Jagodina-based aircraft manufacturer Aero East Europe signed an agreement with the India-based company Karni Aerospace on the sale of three planes from its production program, worth a total of around EUR 500,000, on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

The company bought two single-engine, ultralight Sila 450 planes and one Sila 750 ambulance plane, and the agreement was signed in the presence of the president of the Municipality of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic.

– I am especially glad that our Indian partners first visited Italy, Germany, Spain and France, before coming to Jagodina and recognizing our factory as the best for their purposes and the most competent. Airplane exploitation terms in India are specific for light planes due to high temperatures, and our metal-structure airplanes have turned out to be the most resilient ones – said the owner of Aero East Europe, Milorad Matic.

The owner of the Indian company, Abhimanyu Deta, said that the agreement on the purchase of the three airplanes was only the beginning of the cooperation.

– We want cooperation with European partners and, after visiting several European countries, we chose Jagodina. We are interested in building factories in the industrial zone in Jagodina and we are familiar with all the conditions. Business people form India will come this September to Jagodina and Serbia and the door is open for cooperation in all segments of the economy – Deta said.
