Green light for EPS Distribucija's plan for takeover of measuring devices, power distribution cabinets and electrical wiring

As the operator of the power distribution system, EPS Distribucija has had its plan for the takeover of measuring devices, power distribution cabinets, electrical wiring and other devices in the facilities of the existing clients and producers approved by the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) for the 2019-2020 period, the Agency announced on its website.

As said, the Energy Law defines that all the said devices should be owned by the operator of the power distribution system by the end of 2020.

The obligation of EPS Distribucija, as the operator of the power distribution system, is to notify the Ministry of Mining and Energy and the Agency of the takeover.

– The takeover of measuring devices, power distribution cabinets and electrical wiring by the operator of the distribution system should result in their improved maintenance, control and replacement with more modern equipment, to the end of increasing the precision of measurement and reducing the losses of electrical energy in the distribution system – the information reads. It is added that this is “in the interest of both the end-clients and the operator of the distribution system”.
