Government forms task force for realization of investors’ recommendations

The White Book is an annual overview of the business climate in Serbia, which provides concrete recommendations for improving the business environment in the country.
Aside from the prime minister, the task force will consist of Construction Minister Zorana Mihajlovic (as the deputy), Finance Minister Sinisa Mali, Economy Minister Goran Knezevic, Trade Minister Rasim Ljajic, Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar, Public Administration and Local Self-Government Minister Branko Ruzic, Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic, Labor Minister Zoran Djordjevic and Environment Minister Goran Trivan.
The FIC will be represented by the directors of some of the largest foreign companies in Serbia, such as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Lafarge, Ernst & Young, IKEA, Societe Generale, JTI, Telenor, Nestle, VIP Mobile and Crowe.
The task force will be filing a report on its activities to the government every 90 days, the decision reads.
The White Book has been published each year since 2003, and the main recommendations made by the FIC in the latest edition, from 2018, pertained to fiscal consolidation, especially privatization and corporatization of state companies, the strengthening of tax administration and improved implementation of tax laws.
