Economic Summit of Serbia on October 7-8 in Belgrade

On October 7-8, 2019, the 19th Economic Summit of the Republic of Serbia, organized by TGI Group International and sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, the Association of Business Women in Serbia, the Foreign Investors Council and the Confindustria association, will take place in Belgrade.

As the organizer announced, the summit will deal with the current issues in Serbia, focusing on the economic growth and the accession of Serbia to the European Union.

As a part of the region, Serbia is an important factor of cooperation and interaction with the neighboring states, the press release says and adds that the summit will once again gather a large number of speakers, panelists and participants from the region, as well as important representatives of the international community.

This year's summit will open with a range of political and economic topics, including the questions of national objectives in the upcoming decade and an adequate national strategy aiming to achieve economic growth and strengthen the banking system, the accession of Serbia to the EU, as well as new perspectives of the EU in light of Brexit.

The summit will also deal with the topic of the energy geopolitics of Serbia, as a question of stability in Southeast Europe, the recent increase in workforce leaving the country, the status of infrastructure project and the planning of new ones. Also, representatives of the leading global companies which operate in Serbia will speak at the summit, and this year's event's closing topic will be digitization and the influence of AI in business processes.
