Revolution in production of construction materials – Eco Plastics makes concrete blocks and roof tiles from recycled plastic

The company Eco Plastics was founded in 2019. It has seven employees and offers products made from recycled plastic for the construction industry, namely, aerated concrete, concrete blocks, roof tiles and composite floor panels (replacement for wood).

– The degree of usage of recycled plastics and other materials enables us to reduce the use of the current raw materials to the minimum by getting products of the same or improved characteristics, such as longevity, resilience to external conditions and a lower price, accompanied by the removal of enormous amounts of waste from our environment – director Aleksandar Marinkovic says and adds that it is important that their products will be attested by state institutions for the possibility of repeated recycling.

They get their materials locally, from waste collectors and companies which separate waste.

– It is imperative to put our recycled construction products on the market, as that would make the construction of homes easier for citizens of Serbia in financial terms. They wouldn't have to work for it their whole life. This way, they would be provided with maximum security and efficiency, while the nature would be protected. That is truly the original idea of the whole team and will remain our guiding principle in the future – Marinkovic says.
