This company, formerly known as Germanwings, used to offer flights between Belgrade and the Cologne Bonn Airport and Stuttgart. The line to Cologne was discontinued in the spring of 2012, whereas the line to Stuttgart was available until October 2014.
After reforming the company and adopting a new name, Eurowings did not return to the Serbian Market, though it was interested in establishing a line to Nis in early 2017.
Eurowings operates as part of Lufthansa Group under the hybrid principle. It provides passengers with flights without baggage at very low prices and flights with full service. As part of Lufthansa's system, Eurowings also enables transfers to other flights operated by airlines within this group (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian, Brussels Airlines).
The said flights will be available three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The flight schedule has also been changed. Tuesday and Thursday flights remain as initially announced (departure from Stuttgart at 7.35 am on Tuesday and 6.00 am on Thursday), whereas the schedule for Saturday flights has changed. Departures from Stuttgart are scheduled for 7.00 am, instead of 5.25 am, whereas returns from Belgrade are scheduled for 9.15 am, instead of 7.40 am. The flight numbers remain the same – EW2942 for the flight from Stuttgart (STR) to Belgrade (BEG) and EW 2943 for the return flight from Belgrade.
