The owner of privatized Valjevo-based company "Krušik Opruga", Dragan Milošević from Šabac, announced the sale of the company "as a whole or in parts".

Milošević has decided to take that step after three-year efforts to "put the company on its feet" because, as he says, he has realized that he bought the company "by mistake since it was intended for other buyer".

- I inherited the debts of about 20m RSD, as well as unpaid taxes and allowances. The factory lacks personnel, while the machines are in very bad conditions since no investment has been made in them for a long time - Milošević said to the press in Valjevo.

He claims that "Serbia is a sick society", so that "Krušik" has discontinued its cooperation with its "daughter company that was founded for the needs of 'Krušik'".

The fact that Milošević offers as evidence is the documentation for all springs that "Krušik" installs and that were made by its engineers in the company that he bought and consolidated, but the largest Valjevo-based company "is buying springs from those who produce them in garages or cellars".

- The factory will be sold as a whole or in parts because I don't want to depend on debtors any more. Every time we ask them to pay what they owe, they tell us not to call them any more - Milošević said to the press. He also asked why he should "sell his property to pay the debts of 'Opruga' when the state can not force the debtors to pay for the goods they took long time ago".

Privatized "Krušik Opruga" has ten employees who regularly receive salaries prior to the 5th of every month for the previous month, and springs are produced for "Prva petoletka", IMR and DMB.

Dragan Milošević is a maritime mechanical engineer. He lived and worked in the USA for a long time, and he has companies in the USA and Mexico since mid-1970's.

He started private business in Serbia in 1984. He owns company "Dimex" in Šabac since 1990, which is the authorized distributor of the products of US company "Shevron".

He also invested in properties, so that he turned an old warehouse into a luxury hotel "Dvor" in Šabac. He had bought Šabac-based "Remont-promet" before the Law on Privatization was put in effect.

He returned to Yugoslavia in mid 1990's and opened the factory for production of medical earrings, which he exported to the USA.
