Construction of state road from Malca to Prosek to begin in spring 2020

Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic met with Mayor of Nis Darko Bulatovic to talk about infrastructure projects of importance for the City of Nis and the Republic of Serbia. Among other things, it was agreed for the construction of the state road from Malca to Prosek to begin in the spring of 2020.

- Among other things, we agreed today for the construction of the state road from Malca to Prosek and the repair of the local road from Prosek to Jelasnica, which was damaged during the construction of the highway, to begin in the spring - Mihajlovic said, as reported on the ministry’s website.

The deputy prime minister also pointed out that the construction of one of the six new highways, from Nis to Plocnik, would begin in 2020.

Darko Bulatovic said that Nis now had stable public finances and that numerous projects were realized, in cooperation with the Government of Serbia and the ministry.

- By far the best cooperation we have as a city is with the Ministry of Construction. We congratulate you on the results important for Serbia and the south. We are building social apartments, as well as apartments for refugees and members of the security forces, we have reconstructed 55 traffic routes in Nis, we are building kindergartens, a new science-technology park and we are ready to continue improving the quality of life in Nis with your support - Bulatovic said.

At the meeting, there was talk about the further development of the Constantine the Great Airport. The schedule of the opening of side toll booths in the City of Nis zone was also agreed.
